The Wings Course comprises of the first 6 flight lessons and associated briefings of the Private Pilot Licence (PPL) Course, in addition to 1 hour in our glass cockpit simulator which can be set up for 4 classes of aircraft, from single engine piston, twin engine piston, twin turbine up to medium category twin jet (generic B737/A320).
It is a great introduction to aviation and the course can be credited against the PPL. Upon course completion you will receive the NFC Wings Certificate and wearable NFC Wings Badge.
The aim of the Wings Course is to provide the Student with hands on experience of flying a light aircraft. You will gain a full understanding of how to obtain a PPL and how to train to become an Airline Pilot. The course is a taster for anyone considering a career in the aviation industry and will add value to your CV if applying for a cadetship or apprenticeship.
To begin the training there are no pre-requisites, other than the ability to be able to reach all of the controls when seated in the pilot seat. NFC minimum age to begin training is 15.
The National Flight Centre offers approved courses starting with introductory flights and ranging from Private Pilot Licence (PPL) all the way through to Commercial Airline Pilot courses.
